"You piece of shit!" I sobbed, pulling on the chain connecting my leg to the bedpost. "You lied to me, Enzo...I trusted you!" Enzo took a few steps closer to me, causing me to back away on reflex, "Don't come any closer...or I swear I'll..." "You'll what, Fiore?" Enzo spoke, his eyes darkening with uncontrollable desire. My back hit the wall behind me, forcing me to halt in my movements, Enzo, still inching towards me. "I asked you a question, I expect a response." I looked around the room, scanning my environment before returning my gaze to his. "I'll kill myself..." I spoke, my words were empty and held no value. I could only hope he didn't catch my bluff. Enzo took two more steps, closing the distance between us. He grabbed my chin forcing me to look into his ice cold gaze. We stood like that for a minute before he released my chin from his grip and scoffed, "You'll kill yourself?" I nodded. Enzo reached into his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife, he harshly grabbed my hands and placed it in my palm. Taking a few steps back he spoke, "Do it then." My eyes widened as my hands started to uncontrollably shake, "Do what?" I managed to mutter out. "Kill yourself, I'm making it easy for you." Tears started streaming from my eyes, "I..." I attempted to speak but a lump in my throat prevented me from doing so. My grip on the knife loosened and it fell onto the floor. Enzo grabbed the knife and placed it back into his pocket. He caressed my cheek with his thumb, gently wiping away my tears. "It wasn't supposed to be like this, Fiore. Not yet atleast." "But I can't bear to let you go." ( discontinued to be rewritten ) Huntingtown was panicking; no one knew where the sirens were coming from. There was no electricity, and there was no way for the storm Sirens to be sounding, yet they were. The entire Town was awake; everyone had a weapon. They had grabbed guns, knives, swords, and bats if they could be wielded and used for self-defense; Renee aimed her rifle at the trees, looking desperately for an explanation. Why would a siren sound? They only sounded when they were in Danger, so where was the Danger? When the predators revealed themselves, that was where the siren noise was coming from. Renee could feel her heart jump into her throat. Her face went pale; they were here. They had found the Town. Terror and panic soon swept Huntingtown; everyone knew what those monsters could do. After all, they did conquer the planet and impose the "choosing." Huntingtown was created hoping that its isolation in a cold climate would keep the Predators away, but it didn't. A voice came over those speakers. A male voice Gruff and laced with a growl. It was almost as if whoever was speaking was annoyed and angry. "Although I have enjoyed seeing your little Town outmaneuver many hunters. I am afraid this is where your little games end. However, I will give you a chance to keep your freedom. A hunt. You will be red by your best hunter, Renee Madison." Renee felt her blood go cold as she stared wide-eyed at the ship. She was unknowingly dropping her gun at the news. " she will be your leader; she will be my prize. You have a time advantage. Go!" The ship took off, looking for a place to land, all while the news sank into the Town's residence. Renee had known she had fucked up when she fired at one of those predators and hit him. She had proven herself worthy of the hunt. Now she has to face the consequences, not only her but her entire Town had to. Renee had to win this hunt; the fate of her Town depended on it.

Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Leonard glanced over his shoulder, meeting the eyes of his soulmate. "You wanted me to tell you that you were fated to a criminal?" He turned to face her, a cold laugh escaping his lips. His eyes meeting hers. "You wanted me to tell you that you were fated to your brother's enemy- the man that kidnapped you!" He paused momentarily, composing himself. "No," She answered defiantly, standing firm, her eyes never leaving his. "I wanted you to tell me I was fated to you." "I'm a criminal," Leonard scoffed, pointing at himself. "I make a living robbing people and killing anyone who gets in our way." "You believe that being a thief sets us apart," She chuckled, shaking her head. "Being a criminal is who I am. I can't change that. I won't change that." He stood strong, ready to watch her walk away. "I am one of the most skilled assassins to have ever served in the League of Assassins." She took a step towards him, "I can kill a man, tear his heart out, and still look at myself in the mirror." "What does that have to do with anything?" He growled, taken aback by her words. He opened his mouth to argue, knowing full well that she would cut him off before he could speak. "I don't need you to change who you are. I just need to know you'll stand beside me regardless of what I've done." She stared deeply into his eyes, refusing to back down. "You deserve more than a criminal, Allen," he argued, frustrated. "That's all I am. Nothing more." "An assassin deserves more than a criminal?" She laughed. "I am a criminal- A murderer. How does that make me better than you?" Leonard furrowed his brow, stunned by her reaction. "We're the same Snart." She stated matter-of-factly. Closing the distance between them, she positioned herself in front of him. "What are you doing, Allen?" He was distracted by their proximity; he inhaled deeply, her scent filling his senses. "Facing the inevitable," She answered, her resolve unwavering. Excerpt- Ch. 17
