Louise Duncan ran off and left Susan with her father after he found out she was cheating on him. David had been left with five children by Amber. The postal job was all they could get until Anastasia realized if they could access things it would be through the postal computers. She then decided they could use Augie's expertise in installing aftermarket components on high end vehicles. She became well known for being the only one on the west coast to do the installation correctly. The only reason they haven't quit the post office was because the have access to certain information. They figured they would know if any thing concerning their mother and father would show up it might be there. But it was a futile attempt. Now they used Anastasia and now Barney to see if they could find their parents. Barney is behind the spying on them, but he has given them a guys name who could see if their parents survived the attack on the safe house or not. Hope that helps out.
