The land of Arindel is split. In a controversy over land, power, and magick, heroes will arise to save the people from their worst enemy. Themselves….
Lieutenant Commander Alexa Lane’s life has never been easy. Born the bastard daughter of the Duke of Faewood, she has been treated like the scum of the world since the day she was born. When she turns sixteen, she leaves Faewood and travels to Arindel’s capitol, Rin, and joins the Arindel Royal Naval Air Force’s First Army, hoping to escape a life of forced seclusion and torment. She soon finds that she has a talent for piloting the Airships, allowing her to quickly move through the ranks.
Three years later, she is finally convinced that she has left behind the taint of her blood and can move on. But when a man who calls himself the Duke of Faewood shows up at the military base she is stationed at, he brings along with him terrible news. He tells Alexa that his name is August and that her father has died, leaving August, his legitimate heir, with the title. Before he died, the duke had tasked August with finding his half-sister, and to bring her back to Faewood. Reluctantly, she agrees and together, they set off.
When they arrive in Faewood, the two discover a secret older than the country of Arindel itself, a secret capable of destroying their world. And they are the only two people in the world with the capability of stopping it. In a race against time to find an ancient clock and foil the plans of an evil tyrant, the pair discovers the true meaning behind a secret, some magick, and the greatest power of all.
