I just stare. My breath feels as though it's caught in my throat.
"Don't leave me."
For once, it didn't sound like a command and this time I wasn't scared to do what he wanted of me.
I nod.

Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand?
