Merlin is overjoyed when he sees a girl he knew (and loves) from his home (Ealdor) in Camelot, but the joy comes at a price. Lynnette the girl tells him that Ealdor was attacked by Saxons. After hearing that his mother is alright, he resumes his life as he normally would, but little does he know that Lynnette isn't the girl he once knew and fell in love with. She is working with Morgana to destroy Camelot. When Lynnette is caught sending messages to Morgana, she is taken to jail. Merlin is upset, and confused. He tells Arthur that he loves Lynnette, but Arthur stays resolute. Merlin can't watch the girl he loves die, but he can't do anything about it either. I got the inspiration for this story from a similar oneshot on Fanfiction.net by Aeon The Dimensional Girl if the user wishes for me to take this one down I will, however I will point out that I expanded on the concept and definitely made it my own. Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together. Warnings: malexmale relationship, some language might be considered crude, mentions of m-preg. Mentions of thoughts of suicide.

Merlin gets kidnapped by an unknown person and when he returns, he's different. Gaius finds out what causes it. The Fomorroh. Arthur and Merlin go on a quest to kill the mother beast while it's tranquilized, so they can protect Camelot from Morgause and Cenred. Gwen and Morgana are also a big part of the story and I write in their perspective too.
