he stayed silent but his stare hardened.
he then stood up, not taking his eyes off me, and turned to walk out the door. right when I thought it was over, he stopped and turned his head just enough so I could see his mouth moving.
"I'll see you tomorrow....... love."
and with that he left me to a sleepless night.
