"Do you...think they were smiling?"

"Huh?" I asked after I wiped my eyes

"Do you think your parents were smiling? To the very end?"

"I-I w-wouldn't know.... they were covered in b-blood" I started choking up, I couldn't breathe. Every time I got reminded of my parents I got anxious. 

Suddenly a pair of strong, warm, arms wrapped around me. I look up to see Sebastian, who was giving me a sympathetic look. I closed my my eyes and leaned back into him. 

"They were."

"They were smiling.... to the bitter end."

I had barely finished the sentence when warm lips came crashing down to capture mine.

My whole body trembled as I tried to stop the tear that's threatening to fall. I pulled my arm away from his grip not liking the way he held my arm tightly, but very gently. Like he was afraid to hurt me but he didn't want to let go. I shook my head mentally, my feet moving faster, away from the person that destroyed everything I've believed in for. "I'm sorry" I froze mid-step, icy cold sensation travelled to my spine and I can't seem to urge my limbs to move. I swallowed the lump in my throat, shaking my head as a painful chuckle escape my lips. "Sorry doesn't change anything, Harry" And with that, I walk away. (Sequel to Hooked)
