When the father receives full custody of the 5 of them after not willing to fight for the 2 youngest which the judge thought it would be a "fair" choice. Now 10 years laters the two youngest have been now taken away from their neglectful mother by the social services to be put back with their older brothers. Everyone in life is dealt a hand of cards. The player can't control if they are dealt a good or bad hand but the player can control the outcome if they play their cards right. A bad hand doesn't automatically mean you lose, it just makes the game harder to play. This story isn't about cards. Rayland was dealt a bad hand. She always had the support of her loving family until her mother and brother left when she was nine. Her life was never the same. One day, she gets into a car accident which leaves her father dead and her losing most of her memory. She gets placed with her aunt and abusive boyfriend. When her aunt gets married, she finds out she has 6 step-cousins. Will her bad hand be enough to win the game or was she doomed to fail? Here's a bombshell for you: I have eight brothers. Eight extremely attractive, smart, mischievous, crazy overprotective brothers. Well, step brothers. Trust me when I say that it didn't start out that way, with me having eight step brothers. My father got remarried when I was sixteen. Another bombshell for you: I had no clue that the marriage was happening until about three months before, and I only found out because we were moving from Texas to New York in a week.
