In their years of growing up in peace, tranquillity, and hard work, Natalie and her eleven minute older brother made it clear to their parents, and nearly every other Amity member, that they just did not belong. The abundance of roughhousing, name-calling and slight sibling rivalry gave their parents a good idea of which faction their children may choose when the time came. Luckily, over the years the two of them came together, and by the time they were just about seventeen and inseparable, their choosing day arrived. The basic plot of Divergent, Tris transferring to Dauntless and her and Four falling in love are still happening, but in different order and with my own twist to it. Like many fanfics, the war doesn't happen in this, but many twists, dangers and people from the past try to stop Fourtris's happiness. I hope you deside to read this, if you do, thank you <4 I'm currently editing this story, so it will become less cringy with every edited chapter. This story moves quite fast, in the beginning, but it worked for me when I started this story. I do NOT own Divergent, The great 5(Veronica Roth) does. I do own the plot, and some of the characters I add. But otherwise, I don't own the songs, or most of the characters, but some of the pictures I do own, I will tell if I do. {BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong?
