Two Walks Of Life

Shanta Giovanni is a 22 year old african american drop out. Her parents were drug abusers and abadoned her, leaving her grandmother to take care of her. She got preagnant at the age 20 and now has a son named Devonta who is 2 years old. She lives in the heart of the windy city (chicago) she lives in a poor neighborhood and works as a bartender in the night club Woody's for money to take care of her and her child since her baby daddy felt the need not to. She now has trust issues when it comes to dating and opening up her heart.

Will Shanta find a way away from the hood to make a better life for her and her son and find love. Or Will.She continue to live miserably.

On the other hand we have Esemeralda Santiago also known a Essy She's a latina . She too 22 she has no kids only she live In The Ny Bronx . At the age of 12 her mother died her brother ran away and her father began raping and abusing her. She didn't tell anyone because she thought it was her fault. At age 16 she decided she had enough she ran away she had no other family and no where to go. She befriended a prostitute and was immediately welcomed into the life style. But Essy had plans of a future a succesful future one day she would be an actor and play a big role in a movie. She too will uncover a secret she never thought could be true.

Will Essy's hopes plans and dreams come true?or would it be just that dreams?

Both girls path will collide one day and they will connect to eachother so quickly you'd think they've known each other for ever. But what will they do when their past comes to hunt them? Will they stand their ground or become once more the hood girls they were before?
