Eleven years after the events in Elvenfast and Tal Morun, the world of Ramnor is caught in the grip of the Diaspora: a season of turmoil and chaos marking the beginning of the Ascendance, the last stage of the Norak Utterance, a prophecy detailing the end of all things.

Now young men, the Sons of Ironstorm begin to learn of their fate as Wielders of the Weapons of Power. Can they survive the forces pitted against them as they race towards that fate? Can they accept their destiny before the darkness from the Abyss sweeps across Creation once more?

Six hundred years ago, the world-- reborn from Ragnarok-- was nearly destroyed in an Uprising led by the Great Usurper, the Lord of All Evil, Vandr. The nine heroic Drakahalr rose to stop him, but could only imprison him before their deaths. Prophecy foretells of a time when they shall both return, and throw the world into a mighty war... But none of that is Bjalla's problem. Her issues come from being an escaped thrall, forced into pirating and working her fingers to the bone in the Black Markets. Stuck in her awful reality with her is her brother Jarl, and sister Alf, a long with their mother and grandparents. Jarl wants to be an einherjar, Alf a bard, and more than anything, Bjalla wishes to one day become a dragonrider-- a thought her siblings scoff at. When an opportunity presents itself to earn their freedom in a gladiatorial competition, the triplets leap at the chance: but it all may be for nothing, as they are unprepared. Jarl is strong, but undisciplined. Alf is smart, but her overconfidence leads to many mistakes. Bjalla is too weak, barely capable of lifting her sword, let alone swing it. And now she's found herself intrigued by the dangerous rogue Hrafnfar, the daemish dragonrider, against all of her mother's warnings. Their biggest problem is trusting their teammates. Thankfully, there's six months of training before the fights begin... but a little voice inside Bjalla's head that sounds horribly like the duke that imprisoned her keeps insisting that she will NEVER be good enough.

In a world where races like elves, dwarves, and humans are constantly at odds, Ryker, a teenage boy, is caught in the middle of a dangerous pursuit. Born half-elf, half-human, Ryker's very existence is illegal, forcing him to live in hiding with his guardian, Doc, a mysterious and skilled doctor who raised him with discipline and care. On the night of Ryker's birth, a violent storm raged, and a strange face appeared in the fire, marking his life with an air of mystery and danger. Now, on his 17th birthday, Ryker's secret is discovered, and multiple races-including gods-begin hunting him for reasons he does not yet understand. Doc, always prepared for emergencies, has trained Ryker in survival tactics, teaching him to use hidden meeting points and escape routes. But for the first time, Ryker must put these plans into action on his own. As he tries to evade capture, Ryker reflects on the strained yet loving bond he shares with Doc, recalling moments of harsh lessons and tough love. Despite Doc's strictness, Ryker knows he is more than capable of handling the dangerous world around him. He must now navigate a forest filled with guards, untrustworthy villagers, and his own fears, all while unraveling the mystery of his heritage and why so many are after him. Armed with his intelligence, survival skills, and a powerful weapon said to be able to destroy gods, Ryker embarks on a journey that will challenge everything he knows about himself and the world. As he faces powerful enemies, including gods, and confronts the mystery of his father, Ryker discovers that his mixed blood may be the key to saving-or destroying-the world.
