Among The Birch

In the town of Black Wolf, sixteen-year-old Ranger is often found near the edge where he enjoys the safety and comfort among the trees.

After an incident resulting in Ranger losing his mother, he is left to care for his young brother. Soon after, his quaint town is plunged into a harsh winter, leaving Ranger, his brother and the rest of the locals in a desolate society.

As the town they know declines and famine takes over, anarchy abounds and death lurks behind every corner. With time, the town's situation only worsens, and Ranger is faced with life or death situations while having to protect both himself and his little brother.
