Mackenzie Rose had a terrifying childhood. She witnessed her own best friend get hit by a car, her mother was murdered right in front of her by her father, and she was put in foster care. The only thing that would make her crack a smile was her imaginary best friend named Betty. She would always get joked around by other kids because she would talk to herself, or what she would say is Betty. Sure Mackenzie is shy, but that all changes one day when she breaks out of her shell and into the real world, witnessing more murders, paying bills, and other things that suck. One day a detective showed up on tv and changed Mackenzie into a multi murderer, deranged drug dealer, and just plain out evil. Whats in store for Mackenzie now after she may or may not murder herself?

Anyways, Charlotte switched schools because her family had to move, so now she is known as the new girl, same goes for Charlie, the new guy. Charlotte meets this really nice guy, Nate. Nate has this best friend who is the biggest jerk in school, school's player, bad boy, Aiden Throns. Nate tells Aiden that he really likes Charlotte. Aiden and Nate are like brothers, I mean, Nate was adopted by Aiden's parents, so Aiden cares about him, like he is his biological brother. Aiden thinks that Charlotte is using Nate for his brain, because Nate is a super smart guy, knowing Charlotte, she had a brain tumor, so she isn't the brightest/smartest. ... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.Complete
