"You have a beautiful smile." He said.

"Thank you." I said blushing.

"Oh right, my names Ricky, Ricky Williams." He said holding out his hand.

"Crystal, Crystal Jackson." I said mocking him and taking his hand.

"Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Jackson." He said shaking my hand and I laughed lightly.

●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

Crystal Jackson, a 17 year old who's bullied by the queen bee of her highschool since her freshman year. She is considered an outcast and the nerd of the school.

Ricky Williams, a 18 year old who just moved to the Big Apple. He's a yummy chocolate boy that any girl would take a bite of.

On Ricky's first day of school he bumped into Crystal. He asked her for help, which she gracefully did. On his way to class he saw the queen bee and her minions harassing Crystal and stood up for her.

He's her Protector.

Chloe and Maddie go to the same school as each other, but they aren't exactly friends... They hear that Ricky Garcia will be attending their school in, the upcoming year. All the girls, beside Chloe, are obsessed and want to date Ricky. Chloe thinks he'll end up being a snob just because he's rich and famous. When Chloe realizes that Ricky isn't a snob, she develops a crush on him. But what about Maddie? Well, she won't let Chloe have Ricky, especially if she can't have him for herself! Excerpt- "Are you okay?" He asks sincerely. "Not like you would care Ricky!" I say with anger raging through me. "I do care Chloe, more than you know!" "Well you sure showed it! And you don't know me! You can't care about someone you haven't said more than 10 words too!" I shout then I turn and begin jogging again. Ricky runs up to me to try and argue his case some more. "Chloe I care! I really do! Even if you don't believe me!" "Then where were you? Huh? Where were you when I needed a shoulder? Why didn't you stick up for me? Why didn't you look for me!?" "I should have done all of that, but I didn't want to look like a jerk ditching everyone else at the table who were trying to talk to me!" "That is one of the reasons why I don't date or even socialize with boys! Cause they're all the same! They don't care about feelings, only their image! Even you Ricky!" This time he steps back and an innocent look comes across his face then, I turn and run, this time as fast as I can with tears running down my face.

Moving from Mexico to the wealthy, perfect suburbs of New York, María Hernandez's plan was simple: finish high school, keep her head down, and blend into the background. That plan lasted until she met Marcus Whitmore. Marcus is the town's golden boy-the star quarterback, popular, and untouchable. But the easy smile is a lie. His eyes hold a constant, dangerous storm, his home is full of secrets, and he has sworn off feeling anything real for anyone. The moment their worlds collide, they don't just fall; they break open. María is the calm he never knew he needed, and he's the dangerous chaos she should have run from the second she saw him. This is Don't Fall, Not Yet. Told in dual POV, this story is about the fight for identity, the ugly price of loyalty, and the devastating violence of secrets. It's about the impossible choice between protecting the people you love... and destroying them completely. Mature Audience Warning: 18+ Although María and Marcus's journey begins in high school, it will follow them into adulthood. Expect explicit content, strong language, messy emotions, and raw moments that don't shy away from the real challenges of growing up. I'm doing my best to reflect the richness and challenges of both Mexican and Anglo-American Elite experiences with honesty and care. If I ever miss the mark, please (gently) let me know-I'm always open to learning and doing better. Please read, share, vote, follow, and leave a comment. I'd love to hear your thoughts as you join María and Marcus on this unforgettable journey. © Scarlett Moon, 2025 This is a work of fiction. All rights reserved. The Deal

35 parts Ongoing Mature

Originally - you need me Synopsis "Why should I do this for you? What's in it for me?" I cross my arms, frustrated that I have to interact with Xander. "Because whether you like it or not, you need me," he says, stepping closer. I instinctively step back. "For one, Bianca and her minions will leave you alone." I back up until I hit the wall, and Xander places his hand beside my head. "And two, you know that since you moved next door, our moms have been wanting us to be together." Damn, he's right. Bianca has been more bothersome, now that we are seniors, I know she plans to make this school year a living hell. I look down at the floor, deep in thought. Xander lifts my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. His green eyes are flecked with gold and brown. "Fine, but we need to talk about conditions first." He takes a step back, but his face remains close to mine. "That's fine with me," Xander lifts his hand for me to shake. "So, do we have a deal?" I just fucked up the rest of my high school experience, didn't I. (More detailed description inside)
