So what happened is a decade ago the Uncle raped the girlfriend and the girlfriend killed herself. The girlfriends younger brother Easton holds a grudge. Kidnaps 14 year old Hazel when he's on his way to visit the Uncle. But honestly it's mostly about Hazel being aware that he's being slowly stockholmed and trying to resist it. Tahdah. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, and Ellie doesn't know if she can. The one rule she's stuck to all her working life is to never to go to America, but now she might have to. This short story is the product of a lost bet. A friend challenged me to write it and we both enjoyed it enough that I wanted to share it with all of you on WattPad. It's fun and frivolous and my first attempt at writing futuristic dystopian. The United States and its Government have fallen apart and it's up to the country's citizens to find a way to carry on.
