Heartthrob - COMPLETED
In the quiet moments after her grandparents' passing, Abelia found solace in her own company. The loss had left a void in her heart, a void that she hadn't known how to fill. During the day, she was a corporate agent, handling negotiations and deals with finesse, but at night, she became a different person. Love, for Abelia, had always been a complicated matter. She had seen the tumultuous side of it, the way it could bring joy and pain in equal measure. Yet, she had never been one to actively seek it out. It was as if love was an enigmatic puzzle, one she hadn't yet figured out how to solve. Irwin Mcflurry, her beloved beau was different from anyone Abelia had ever known. He was patient, understanding, and compassionate - qualities that seemed almost otherworldly in the fast-paced, cutthroat world they lived in. Irwin saw past Abelia's tough exterior, recognizing the vulnerability that lay beneath. As they spent more time together, Abelia found herself questioning her choices. Could love truly be a source of healing rather than pain? Could she let someone in, allowing herself to be vulnerable again? Irwin's unwavering support and genuine affection started to chip away at the walls around her heart. As the nights turned into days and the days into weeks, Abelia wrestled with her feelings. She was torn between the familiarity of solitude and the allure of love. The pages of her story turned, revealing a complex tapestry of emotions, a struggle between the past and the present, between self-preservation and opening her heart to the unknown. The answer, like the turning of the pages, remained elusive, waiting to be discovered in the depths of Abelia's soul. The journey continued, and with each step, she moved closer to unraveling the mysteries of her own heart. Words Count: 80,469 (Chapter 1 to 47)Complete
