The western side of the island was the perfect fit for an eccentric boy like Malik. Or was it? He spent days feeling isolated ever since his friends switched school after the 11th grade. He was lonely and he hated being around people he had nothing in common with. Everybody wanted to be like everybody and well Malik was just... Different.
Finding out he was moving that summer of 2015 brought Malik some extreme levels of joy. But it was bittersweet the reason he had to move. His mother fell ill and she had to move closer to his aunt who would take care of her while he was at school.
