"Are you okay?" I ask nervously biting my lip. There was something off about her.

"Do you want the truth or what everyone wants to hear?" She says looking at me with an intensity that makes me shiver.

"I want the truth Avalon." I say staring at her blankly. Surprising myself by my voice not wavering.

She sighs then looks up at me her eyes overtaken with raw emotion.

"No I'm not."

"Can I fix you?" I whisper.

She looks at me her eyes so pained it breaks my heart. And my wolf internally whimpers at seeing our mate so sad.

"Do you want to?" She whispers back her voice just as broken as her eyes portrayed.

"More than anything". I say staring at her with my intense gaze of burning passion and determination.

She smiles slightly.
