The aftermath of The Avengers' Civil War results in the group's need to lay-low and stay hidden. They find themselves trading one hiding place for another as disaster after disaster seems to cascade like a landslide after them.

Heartbreak clings to the group as things begin to fall apart, but the promise of a life together binds them.

However, it's when an incident goes very sideways that Iris gets caught in the middle of undiscovered waters. She soon finds herself somewhere she shouldn't be and begins to question her sanity and the pulse she feels on her wrist.

It isn't until Nick Fury picks Iris up from Carter's that Iris shows up unannounced at the New Avenger's facility, much to the bewilderment of the team. And, as always, Iris' luck is generally poor. After an accident on one of the New Avenger's missions, King T'Chaka of Wakanda brings up a serious concern that directly involves the Avengers and the way they work. Other issues arise and over 100 countries band together to create the Sokovia Accords. The Accords put the Avengers under the direct control of the United Nations, which strips the signing members of the freedom to fight when and where they believe they are needed. However, the Accords don't sit right with everybody on the team and it begins to tear friendships apart at the seams as some decide to sign. To make matters worse, a dirty bomb goes off and kills numerous people at the signing in Vienna. The worst part? Bucky Barnes is the one framed. Now he's the most wanted criminal in the world.
