The aftermath of The Avengers' Civil War results in the group's need to lay-low and stay hidden. They find themselves trading one hiding place for another as disaster after disaster seems to cascade like a landslide after them.

Heartbreak clings to the group as things begin to fall apart, but the promise of a life together binds them.

However, it's when an incident goes very sideways that Iris gets caught in the middle of undiscovered waters. She soon finds herself somewhere she shouldn't be and begins to question her sanity and the pulse she feels on her wrist.

It doesn't look like Iris is in Kansas anymore.

Despite their best efforts to regain the trust of the world, the Avengers are still met with criticism. With every move they make under close scrutiny, they find themselves treading lightly to avoid more incidents akin to Ultron and the tragedy of Sokovia. When a new team of superheroes is entangled in disaster and an Avengers mission goes wrong, the government steps in with new legislation that would force all superheroes to register, and be overseen, by the government. Eager to right the wrongs of his past, Tony Stark is quick to join the government's efforts, believing that oversight will ensure that more disasters do not happen at the hands of the Avengers or any other super-powered individuals. In opposition of this is Steve Rogers, who believes that government oversight would enable politicians to decide who the villains are, forcing superheroes to become nothing more than political pawns. When the King of Wakanda is assassinated and Steve's old friend turned enemy, Winter Soldier, is implicated things become even more complicated. Forced to choose a side in a civil war, Dean Allen can't stop thinking about a far greater threat that lurks. Please note that this is an installment in an ongoing series. It's been almost a month and a half since the destruction of Ultron and the city of Sokovia. No one has heard or seen Iris since. Little do they know that she's alive, well, and under the care of Carter, a man from her past. It isn't until Nick Fury picks Iris up from Carter's that Iris shows up unannounced at the New Avenger's facility, much to the bewilderment of the team. And, as always, Iris' luck is generally poor. After an accident on one of the New Avenger's missions, King T'Chaka of Wakanda brings up a serious concern that directly involves the Avengers and the way they work. Other issues arise and over 100 countries band together to create the Sokovia Accords. The Accords put the Avengers under the direct control of the United Nations, which strips the signing members of the freedom to fight when and where they believe they are needed. However, the Accords don't sit right with everybody on the team and it begins to tear friendships apart at the seams as some decide to sign. To make matters worse, a dirty bomb goes off and kills numerous people at the signing in Vienna. The worst part? Bucky Barnes is the one framed. Now he's the most wanted criminal in the world. But with the Accords in place, half the Avengers must sit on their hands and do nothing, while the other half tries to help Steve get his best friend back.
