Barnes was never a normal boy. His mind has been filled with math and science since the day he was born, and he won't accept that things can be unexplainable. At least that is how it was until the first day of his junior year of high school. Barnes has just been admitted into the most elite learning experience available to United States high school students, The Extensive Scholastic Program or ESP. And then there is Farley, the track and field star of their school that seems more jock than brains but quickly proves to have the common sense that the rest of them lack. Everything appears to be shaping up for the most interesting year of Barnes' life when something unexplainable happens after school on the very first day.
