The ocean and the human mind may at first sound dissimilar, but upon closer look they are quite akin. Both are endless dark abysses, teeming with all sorts of demons in their depths; both are beautiful on the surface, with terrifying contents on the inside; and, most importantly, both can lead to death if one doesn't exercise caution.

But while the ocean gives (food, pearls, and even long forgotten treasures) and takes (safety, innocent lives, and sometimes sanities), the human mind does nothing of the sort. More often than not, it is the host that gives and takes from the mind, that controls their own ideas.

So when Victor Myrick wakes up as a baby and receives another shot at life, he decides to build himself a better past - because nothing, not even his brain, is more in control of his life than he is.
