I opened my eyes.

Chocolate brown eyes were smiling down on me.

I closed my eyes. Breathe.

I opened them again.

Nothing.

It's like a series of events had happened in my life but I was never really a part of it. I was merely an onlooker as each event unfolds into another.

And before I knew it, as the last chapter unfolds, the author of my life was already done with me. 'The End' or so I thought, was scribbled at the bottom of the page as if it was mocking me. Whatever that means.

But even if the ink fades; even if it is 'THE END',

Out of all the jumbled words formed in my life, one name will always haunt me.

Carter.
