How did a female dentist end up a intergalactic space runner? Better yet how could she ever get the life she lost back.
Being a young woman in space you see and experience a lot of things. If Janara was not the type of woman she is, it would have crushed her. Instead space had harden and honed a skill that she never wanted to have.
Not having much family after the invasion, she protects the little she has by not leading anyone to them. Namely the DOWSER.
The Dowser where the galactic military that keep every planet in line. They were governed by the political head. Every political head are in charge of three planets. Once a dowser shows a level of service they have the opportunity to become a political head. Many do not make it to that level of service and those who do mysteriously die within the year.
Janara is tired of running. Every fiber in her being is telling her it is soon time to mate.
Being a Culoma a rare species in the universe it is instinctual to find a compatible mate. But where?

The Way It Is
I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it! Ophelia finally came back after her parents sent her to a planet for young women to learn how to be are part of high society, but she isn't home for long until the Galaxies villain takes her away. Two of them saw Ophelia and walked over to her. They looked at her then at each other then back at her. The one on her left nodded and picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. "No let me go!" She screamed. Panic started to set in. She was back. She couldn't be taken away from Adrik again. The grip on her tightened. She thrashed. She couldn't believe this was happening to her. They took her onto a simi large craft. Out of the corner of her eye in the shadows on Adrik property she saw a man in all black wearing armor watching as they put her on board. Heresy, treachery, riots, thefts, murders and revolutions. A need to for order was introduced, and brought about the leader of Zykard and seven factions of ten people. A thousand years later theres a change. An outsider appears and seemingly becomes the new leader of Zykard, bringing more hardships with their hopes.
