"So, where is it that you go at night?" He asked, flipping casually through the book in his hands.

How could I tell Tyler that I was searching for a murderer? How does one just say 'Oh, I'm looking for the people who killed my family almost ten years ago, but it's chill'? How would he react to that and knowing that I'm out exploring, looking for someone who finds fun in burning down houses and ruining lives?

"Oh, you know. I just go out with friends," I said. What a lie. If only he knew the truth..

How far would you go to avenge your family's death? When Ava Hart was nine years old, her family died in a mysterious house fire that was later found out to have been caused by arson. Nine years later and now eighteen years old, Ava is out from the custody of her aunt and uncle; however, that night nine years before still haunts her every waking moment. Hoping to find the arsonist who murdered her family, Ava moves to the big city and finds an apartment, and by the roll of a dice, she ends up living with her new surprise roommate, Tyler Park.

By day, Ava works as a barista at a coffee shop. By night, she walks through alleys and dangerous parts of town, trying to find who killed her family. Will Tyler discover the surprising truth about her? Will Ava catch the person who hurt her family?
