One Miraculous Circus
A miraculous x greatest showman au (and some college au thrown in there). A sad start when Marinette Dupain-Cheng ends up living alone after a tragic accident. She starts a job at the famous Agreste circus to gain money and it is here she becomes face to face with a familiar boy, Adrien Agreste. Although she recognises him he can't return the favour as a mask covers her face, to him she is only known as Ladybug, the famous acrobat. If only he knew his close friend Marinette was the one he was falling for... In this story, there is no magic, Chat Noir and Ladybug, as well as other characters, are in this story but they're not displayed with the miraculous/magic or akumatizations or anything like that. There is some adrienette, ladrien and ladynoir throughout this story but I have included a tiny bit of lukanette and adrigami in there too (sorry if you don't like those ships, I don't either, to be honest, but those relationships add a little more random detail to the storyline so why not). She's never met her biological father, doesn't know much about him in fact. All she knows is that he lives in New York and is an engineer. Didn't matter much anyways, because she was happy with her life in Paris. Her mom and dad were kind and loving parents, she had a great school life, with many friends and a crush. That was three years ago. Now, she's 16, has no friends, is the sole hero of Paris, guardian of the miraculous. Her school life is practically non existent and her parents are so busy with the bakery that she practically never sees them anymore. Her life sucks and all she wants to do is to run away and start a new life somewhere new. So what does she do? She goes to New York. Maybe she can find her biological father there...

(or my mom would kill me! lol) there is quite a bit of kisses though! ;) this story is set in the current season 2 of miraculous ladybug, except they are 16 in this instead of 14, for reasons... where adrien is starting to develop a fondness for adorable, clumsy marinette, even though he still loves ladybug as chat noir. marinette has always been crazy about adrien, posters of his face everywhere in her room, she can barely talk to him! but now she has realized that her feelings for chat noir have been changing as well.ladybug's instincts is to push chat noir away in hopes that these feelings will disappear but they only grow. Adrien suddenly grows closer with his shy classmate, marinette and feels that he's betraying ladybug. With their identities unknown to each other, Adrien and marinette struggle with the confusion of loving more than one person. while on patrol, chat noir detransforms and a certain civilian sees, (not who you think tho ;) that civilian had already discovered the identity of ladybug and eventualy chat noir figures it out too. with his realization that he only ever loved one gives him confidence and the romantic feelings for marinette to grow. though ladybug still does not know who chat noir is. will the truth finely come out? or will marinette remain confused, bouncing back and forth between what she believes is two guys? read to find out.... *also, i would very much appreciate comments, im new here, and it would be very helpful if i knew what you liked about the chapter. and weather i should change it* DISCLAIMER: All character rights go to Thomas Astruc and the producers of the netflix series.
