Whisper Allen is a short, curvy and bright high school counselor from Portland, Oregon. Her life is going nowhere until she meets Oliver Fleming, a strong and smart man with a passion for music. Whisper takes an instant interest in Oliver and his classy talk and contradicting rock band good looks. However, when a bus accident nearly kills Whisper, Oliver springs to the rescue. Whisper begins to notices that there is more to Oliver than she thought.. But, the pressures of Oliver's job as a music director leave him blind to Whisper's affections and Whisper takes up drawing to try and distract herself. Finally, when snotty teacher, Regina Gray, threatens to come between them, Oliver has to act fast. But will they ever find the patient love that they deserve?
