Sam keeps asking if dean is okay, since John, their father just died two weeks ago. Everyday dean falls deeper and deeper into the darkness he tries to stay away from, he makes up lies whenever Sam or Bobby asks if he's okay. He says he's fine but deep inside he's crying out for someone to help him, someone to endure all his pain and take it away forever. He holds it together two more years later he meets someone who cares about him differently from how Sam and Bobby do.
