The year is 3180 A.D., almost 1,000 years after the world as we knew it was destroyed. The people who survived had to start over, but some had better control of the resources than others. An Empire was born and they have control of powerful weapons and technologies of the past, and future, white those less fortunate are left to scavenge from the land with primitive hunting techniques. Luxuries like electricity, metal, and sugar are rare and come at ridiculously high prices. Lilly Evergale and her family are wanted by the Empire for inspiring rebellion, and they, along with others, have fled to hide in the deep woods of the ruins of North America. One day, however, the Empire finds their hiding place, and in an instant Lilly loses everything she ever held dear. Three other survivors join her in a quest for revenge on the deaths of their families, and to bring the New World back into an era of light and freedom, out of the oppressive shadow of the Empire.
