emma barrett owned an extraordinary ice cream shop. with a name like emma's ice cream bar, how could you expect it to be anything less than perfect? being only 15, it was unusual to own an ice cream shop. people thought emma was setting herself up for failure, that it was just simply weird. no one seemed to like weird.

but brody helder did.

to everyone, brody seemed like your typical teenage boy; he definitely fit the image. with his blue eyes, dirty blonde hair that managed to look good in any situation, and his signature smirk, he could make any girl's heart flutter.

except the one that mattered most, emma.

and so by the end of the summer, brody makes it his mission to make the mysterious girl fall in love with him.
