"I stepped backwards carefully, giving my all to not be noticed, I could hear the shouting of armed men becoming more apparent and crisp. As I lie down, I gently tuck my locket in my coat pocket. "He's on to something" I hear a man say. I flip open my knife and drag the rugged blade against my wrist and smear blood all over a nearby tree. Then all I could do was run, I grasped onto my knife tightly and then sliced a barbed wire fence and ran through it. I look up only to see a gigantic net fall directly onto me."
Like a mix of Death Note, Avengers, Suicide Squad, and Fire Emblem
Monsters are everywhere, but the human ones are the worst. At least the Creatures of the Night don't kid almost families, friends, neighbors, coworkers. Once reborn they live in the night. Sure, they do all of the same twisted things that humans do to one another, but they don't hide who they are. When you see them you know death is coming. You can predict the sick things they will do to you. But when the monster looks human, you're blindsided. One minute you're in love with a guy and the next he's slitting your throat. Trust me, I speak from experience.
Gruesome things that use to make me sick now makes my stomach flutter in joy. I traded charming grins and blue eyes for carved smilies and orbs of onyx. I traded sunlight for the glow of the moon. I gave up living amongst humans for creatures of the night. And I wouldn't go back for anything in the world. I am finally home. I've spent so much time running from monsters that it's my turn to do the chasing. Sweet Dreams...
