In a future where society spreads out across the stars and social status is shaped by body modification, orphaned Safia finds simplicity in expanding her family's business into bounty hunting.

As one of the few humans in a genetically enhanced world, she's spent her life avoiding the political chaos of the Interplanetary Government and the increasing rebellion of planetary nations. But now her latest contract is destined to bring that all crashing down.

In her arrest of Aris Amarelli, Safia soon finds she's bitten off more than she can chew. A boy bred for his genius in biochemistry and less than legal pharmaceuticals, law enforcement is not the only enterprise out for him and his family. His personal attempts at bribery and coercion are the least of her concerns as they become enveloped in interplanetary war.

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! I am feedback-friendly and here to learn :)

My chest is rising and falling rapidly while my body moves closer and closer to hers. "If he had forced himself anymore on you. Or had done anything to you, I would have lost it. I would have killed that fucking bastard. And all because you can't listen to me. And no shit right now I even feel like spanking you, for making me lose control." Those last words even shock me, this isn't anything I have done before but she makes me want it. Her breath hitches and her legs seem to clench together. Holy shit! There's no holding back anymore, my body presses hard against hers pushing her full force against the back of the elevator. My hand reaches into her hair pulling it gently making her look up at me. "You fucking like that thought don't you?", watching her gulp hard looks so damn hot. "Answer me!" ~~~~ Dean Arlington has grown up in a wealthy family with a major business reaching out into all kinds of branches.
