Elizabeth Belle Abner is a studious, articulate, and coy college student who aspire to become a doctor. She has been a successful individual since grade school: getting straight A's, creating brilliant science projects, and having opportunities to explore the field of medicine. She always lived life by the book.
Summer has finally rolled over and Elizabeth has been invited to England for a study abroad program. Her life is going as planned until she loses her plane ticket. This is the first incident where she encountered a bump in the road; however, this won't be the last unfortunate incident. Her life will take a major detour when her next flight has been changed to stop over in Italy.
Once Elizabeth arrives in Italy, a toll of unfortunate events unravel: her suitcase has been accidentally stored in a different airplane, lost on the way to her hotel, and she meets an art mogul whose life bares no rules.
Will Elizabeth continue to play by the book or will she end up writing her own story?
