Cherik non-powered modern au
Erik (aka Number 12) is a single introverted lawyer who dislikes his neighbor.
Charles (aka Number 14) runs a foster home. Meaning he has far too many children and very rarely has them under control.
This results in some quite passive aggressive letters (and a whole lot of sexual tension) between the two of them.
But when Charles and his foster home come under real trouble, from a man Erik can't stand, will he put differences aside and help the man across the fence?

Days well spent
After I hit Charles, paralyzing him from the waist down, I felt obligated ask if wanted to stay at my house till he could get back on his feet, metaphorically of course. He had seemed lonely, in a sense. But who knew he would make such an impact on my family. I was struck by Erik's car and I forgave him, it wasn't his fault. He offered me a place to stay till I got the hang of my new life style, an offer I couldn't decline. I found that they were rather poor and since I came from a sickeningly rich family, I decided to pay for a few things. But who knew he would make such an impact on my life. When Erik hits Charles while driving home to his two children, Peter and Wanda, he is filled with guilt. Charles, being the person he is, forgave him.
