The Red Reapers claimed dominion over the world with unsurpassed flames. For centuries the other races labored under their rule, and came to worship them as gods. Then, came the birth of Althalos. Fire did not harm him, and blades could not pierce his flesh. The church claimed him, and his strength only grew. Upon reaching manhood the Reapers came to him. They offered him life on a leash, or to sacrifice his life for their glory. He chose neither, and struck out against them. It was the first time since the founding of the Pyromancers; the first time their blood drenched the soil.
