"Y/n." She paused, gripping my shoulders. "Look at me."
I bring my teary gaze to my mother's eyes.
Pain lingers on her face as the grip on my shoulders tighten.
She closes her eye and takes a shaky breath.
"You have to do this. This is your destiny."
She opens her eyes.
I croak out a response.
"But Mom... I don't want to leave you and Dad. I love you both so much and I just-"
She interrupts me as I get pulled to her chest.
"Darling. Oh my sweet baby girl. I love you too, so much. But the world needs you."
A loud sob escapes my lips and I clutch onto the fabric of my mom's shirt.
"Mommy, what if I don't make it? What if I fail you and Dad? I couldn't, I-I just coul-"
My cry grows louder and my mom caresses my hair.
She then pulls my face away from her shoulder and holds my cheeks.
I lean in to her hands, afraid it's the last time I'll be able to feel her comforting touch.
"There is no 'what if'. You'll make it. I know you will. I didn't raise a weak daughter, now did I?"
I shake my head.
"No, you didn't."

Sooooo this is gunna be out here, my first Wattpad booky. Y'all just a warning, (even tho you can probably tell by the description already) I write, A LOT so if you're bored and got some time, come on down! Disclaimer, this booky boi has no plot or order buuutttt maybe there's a time line? This book is pretty much a dump of writings that I make for myself from time to time. I don't often put a date with them but it is what it is. Some of them were during the summer before my first year of high school. Others are just strong feelings I've faced at one point in this year.
