Long ago when children dreamed, there was a place called Neverland. Filled with action, mystery, natives, legends, and mystical creatures. But since It, the Island, appeared everything has been different. Children have stopped dreaming as much, their growing up. Metal cogs can be heard from the Island, strange noises always explode from it. Smoke seems to fill the air around it, the waters are black except at the bottom. Where colors such as grey, green, yellow, and red glow and seem to pulse with life.
Neverland soon became Never Neverland, as children stopped telling stories and believing in them. Even Peter Pan had crawled into his hideaway along with his fellow lost boys. Captain James Hook had disappeared one day along with his crew and ship, the day the island appeared. The Natives had been frightened into hiding in caves and underground communities. The Mermaids never should themselves to anyone unless they absolutely needed to. Even the Pixies hid most left for a better place or hid in trees, bushes, or mushrooms.
Only the daring or brave walked out in the open, more like the Gifted. A new race had appeared on the Never Neverland, a few days after the Island appeared...

Sirena may look like a normal girl, but she is far from it. Not only is she a mermaid, but she is also a lot older than she looks. She has lived on Neverland for longer than she cares to remember. She lives in solidarity, trying to avoid the annoying teenaged boys on the island and people in general. Trying to avoid her fate that looms closer each day. She had it pretty good - until a ship appeared on Neverland's shores and gave her hope to escape the inevitable. Freedom was so close! But then an unexpected pirate ruined everything. In which a boy who thinks he controls everything meets the girl who actually does. --- Peter Pan is king of Neverland, a mystical island of his own creation. His Lost Boys serve as his troops and have been his only company for the last millennium. Until his shadow brought a girl to Neverland, by the name of Wendy Darling. But she's not the one this story's about. Why? It's simple. Because she's dead. She broke Peter's heart, so he killed her. Only he and the Lost Boys know what happened the night Wendy disappeared, and Peter means to take the secret to his grave, assuming he ever dies, of course. If the Lost Boys know what's good for them, they will too. None of the other creatures on the island have any idea of what became of the one girl who had ever set foot on Neverland. However, what at first seems to be a siren with a know-it-all attitude threatens to change all that. She knows exactly why Peter's heart is shattered. But what she wants to do with that information is, for the very first time, is absolutely unclear to Peter. That doesn't sit well with the Ruler of Neverland. And whatever doesn't sit well with Peter, he either figures it out or kills it. No one knew of the girl that was there before Peter. No one knew of the girl who brought him there. No one knew of the girl who never grew up. No one knew of the girl that loved her best friend. Before you read this be aware I was in a huge Peter Pan phase and was also like 13 so it's a bit childish and not very well written but I think that adds to the whole childish feel of any Peter Pan story so enjoy and please comment vote and favourite.Complete

Mermaids, beaches, fairies! this place is awesome. someone then snatched the book out my hands. "Mermaids? what is this crap?" I looked up to see Cynthia and her clique. "why do you carry this thing around with you all the time?" I stood up and held out my hand. "give it back." "why? it's not like you can read it, you're stupid." Her words didn't mean anything to me but those words are going to come back to me tonight and punch me in the face. "How old are you? aren't you like 16 and reading this children's book?" How long have you been here Michelle? Tears welled up in my eyes. I knew what was coming next. "answer me, hoe!" "10 years" I mumbled.
