The Lemonade Stand
All Hazel Scott ever wanted to do was get away: get away from her alcoholic mother, her abusive father, and her clingy ex-boyfriend. So with senior year coming to a close, she only has a summer break to make her once mindless daydreams a reality before she has to go back and hit the books for college and she's planning on doing just that. Hazel's going on a running away trip to Paris alone for a week to get the freedom's she's always dreamed of. Dreaming is the easy part though while paying for her little getaway might take some time, time she doesn't necessarily have if she wants to find what she's looking for before the summer ends. So how do you raise fifteen hundred dollars in such a limited amount of time? In Hazel's mind: a lemonade stand.
