Meet Lacy Carter. Beautiful, spirited, and has a heart of gold. Or at least that's what people tell her. She doesn't believe them though. Her traumatic past and guilt-ridden feelings keep her from doing that.
Now meet Grayson Tyler. Just moved to town and already well liked. He's got some troubles of his own, with his father in jail and his mother struggling to pay the bills. When he meets Lacy, it feels like there's a light in his life again. But will Lacy let go of her guilt and let Grayson inside the walls she's spent so long building around her heart?
