Chapter 1: A little fun...

11:30 pm, Kitsune was laying awake in her bed, staring at the ceiling. She could hear the sound of the cars passing by. She was waiting for her Mum to come home. Every night she would wait for her Mum, who came home at midnight and left too early in the morning. Kitsune knew almost nothing about her mother. Suddenly her phone buzzed. It was a text from her mother. This was a very rare occasion, for her, Mum only texted in emergencies. It read " Kitsune dear, I'll be home by tomorrow- hang out with your friends for the meantime- I'll explain everything when I get home. It's about time you knew about it". Kitsune's eyes filled up with tears. Even though they saw each other very little, Kitsune and her mother had a bond like no other.

The phone buzzed again. This time it was her friend Liz, asking her to come clubbing. Kitsune let out a small chuckle and wiped the tears from her face. She walked to the bathroom and to the sink.
