Everyone thought Natsu was a cold-hearted person, he was harsh to his friends and even random people he just meets. There was a reason Natsu was like this. That's because his childhood best friend and secret girlfriend Lucy Heartfilla were sick with an invisible and deadly illness. Lucy got sick at the age of 9 years old she had met Natsu when she was 5. Her and Natsu always had been close and he was the only one who could calm her before her illness got too bad.

If you asked someone at Fairytail High who Lucy Heartfelia was, they would have no idea. She is like a shadow, fitting in with the crowd. Lucy has never spoken to anyone or shown her face.
