Alpha Stigma

They say blood is what defines us a person and it's what binds us together as a family, it's what creates life and sustains it. But that night I feared it's presence and thought of it as a dreadful curse, a curse that slaughtered my family and countless others.

I feared it's existence as I bluntly watched and listened to the deafening screams of my beloved family, whilst the putrid scent of wet metal cloud the air. That night seismically changed my life for the worse as once scarlet blood that oozed down my pajamas in thick droplets, now splattered the peeling trees and had quickly blackened in the August heat. The one thing I most feared as a small child, became an unhealthy obsession as it destroyed my life and made me submissive.

Until I fell in love with no ordinary boy, he captivated my thoughts with his crooked smile and slight tickle of his breath expelling from that goddamn lip. But as my curse continues as my personal hell, I'm left with an awful truth behind my past as my prophecy will either be my salvation or my end.
