I know most people find the beach relaxing, but when I'm standing there on the shore at high tide, watching the effect the moon has on the great oceans of the world, I find myself wondering what effects it has on my insides, which are more than half water themselves, and I get dizzy. I can hardly look in the mirror anymore, the boy I loved is dead, and the one I saved cannot be trusted. With a heavy heart I try to wear my armor proudly, now is not the time to worry. I want to die. No, not that, I want to feel the sensation of death. I want to know what it's like for after death. I've always been intrigued by it ever since I was five. I watched a movie where a kid can see dead people and the person helping him is already gone. Is that's what's it's like? Do you not know if you're dead or not? My best friend Marnie committed suicide last week and today was her funeral. As I am sad, I'm also jealous. She knows what it's like to be dead, she can answer all of our questions, yet she can't because she is gone forever. Does it hurt more after the death, or does the death hurt the most and it's all rainbows and butterflies after. I'm not depressed, nor am I suicidal. I don't think I've ever been, I thought I was just thinking like everyone else does. Marnie told me I go too deep, she said as deep as an ocean and I've tried to swim to the bottom. I don't mean to be deep, I'm just curious.

There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.) Now I have to not only keep my feeble body alive, but also protect (or be protected by) my two best friends in the entire world as we all try to survive in a city packed with the Dead.

Stiles can't sleep, and if he told enough people that was all it was, maybe he would start to believe it. Still, as tensions were rising about them losing their territory he couldn't bother them with something he didn't even fully understand. Maybe he just needed something fun and easy to help him relax. Like the hot neighbor that he keeps catching staring at him. Derek can't sleep, and if he cleans his house enough maybe people won't realize how he doesn't care enough to clean up other parts of his life. Still, as he worried about his job and obligations, he couldn't let them down about finding a place they belonged. Maybe he just needed something interesting to keep his mind off of it. Like the clumsy man he can't keep his eyes off of.

You never really know what's around the next bend, whether it's an opportunity to a better life, or a sorrowful condolence of breathe taken away. Life can be a mystery. It can be pleasant and it can be bad, but what we need to remember in both times is that these events are controlled by One. What we need to remember is that God is in control. During the high tides and the low. God will always be greater than the highs and lows♡♡
