Hi my name is Alaina Salinas. I have an amazing little brother Zeke. And my parents were murdered.
I wish I could tell you that was a lie but it isn't. Now Zeke and I are in protective custody. We are being by an arrogant, cocky, mean, Spanish speaking jerk who is incredibly attractive. Yep Derek Quientez.
Why are we in protective custody you ask?
It's simple. The night my parents were murdered Zeke and I came back from my soccer practice. We got home early and the sicko was hovering over my parents and faced us. I ran because my life and my brothers depended on it. Now I'm stuck with this foul-mouthed but clever jerk who is charismatic and smart and built and hot... But that's besides the point.
What's worse is that he's still out there looking for us. I wasn't supposed to walk in on my parents getting murdered. I wasn't supposed to have to raise my brother. I wasn't supposed to end up in protective custody. And I was certainly NOT supposed to fall in love with my protector. Who is by the way off limits by contract!
