Caroline Forbes has been in love with her best friend Stefan Salvatore but has been too scared to tell him how she feels, afraid of rejection, afraid that he will say he only thinks about her as just a friend. When she had enough courage to tell Stefan that she wanted more he panicked and left without a word. Stefan dropped everything and left, he wanted to clear his head and think, what is it that he feels for the fair Caroline Forbes? Leaving Mystic Falls and leaving Caroline heartbroken. 1 month later he returns realizing that what he feels for Caroline is in fact love and he had fallen madly in love with her without even realizing it. But when he returns Caroline is not the same, turns out she went into a state of despair after he left and when she couldn't take the pain any longer she packed her bags and went to New Orleans. Caroline begged Klaus to compel her feelings away, to make her forget that she ever loved and was friends with Stefan Salvatore. Seeing how broken Caroline was, he compelled her memories away as far as Caroline knows, Stefan is just Elena's ex and Damon, Elena's current boyfriends brother. How will Stefan react?
