Rebecca Dawson is your average seventeen-year-old girl, trying to live a normal happy life. That is until she boards a flight to L.A.
After the death of her parents four years ago, she was traumatized and never went back to L.A. but stayed in New York City. So she decides to do her senior year in the city where her parents were killed.
But that does not prove to be an easy task for her, as her whole world is turned upside down, her dark past resurfaces and secrets about her parents' death are revealed.
