Argus Filch has not always been the lonely caretaker Squib...well, he's always been a Squib but he wasn't always lonely and bickering at students to return to their common rooms and to stay out of the Restricted section of the library. 

There had been a time when he had been happy almost, when he had found someone whom he was not having to inform them to not increase the amount of work he did. A person he felt a little something more to than a spat of hatred and selfishness about his job as a caretaker. 

Some would say it was the start of a friendship, but to a Squib like Filch it was something more, something a little like love.

Yule Balls and Old Foes by mochibingsu

Following the events of fifth year, a new adventure awaits for Norah Lee. Boys, exams, school events, common room parties, and old foes outside of Hogwarts. Even battling pensieve guardians was easier than this. Characters are aged up (even if the story's got them in sixth year) to make it more appropriate. Time period is leaning towards the modern day so in case you might find anachronisms in the dialogue or references, this is why. This may also be quite a lengthy fic too. I really can't stress enough that the time period is leaning more to modern day than the 1890s.
