A few days after Captain America supposedly dies and crashed the plane, Peggy is still mourning his death. Howard Stark being the oh-so-smart guy he is decides to help her in any way he can.
He wants Peggy to try his time machine but he ends up sending Peggy about 70 years into the future. To be fair, she did choose the year. But now Peggy is in 2015.
