Percy and Annabeth were the only remains of the seven to survive the Giant War. After the Giant war Percy proposed to Annabeth. Athena and Poseiden were outraged to hear they were engaged, and disowned them both banning them from both camps. After seeing what happened Chaos offered them a life away from the gods, and their old life as Heirs of the Universe, and he adopted Percy.
