The blackouts are becoming more frequent as Joseph Avery gets older. He doesn't even remember what happens during this time but he's been told that he does things "out of character." Today though, today marks a new beginning in which he will start Highschool. Joseph hopes these blackouts will stop soon but they haven't since he was a young child.
