In order to keep control, the government has issued a new drug that everyone is required to take daily, called Bliss. The new drug induces happiness and keeps everyone perfectly content, virtually removing political unrest from society. It lowers lifespan, so that the population stays low. When a group of rebels resist their dosage, the government puts the drug into the water supply. They must search for clean water to stay clear-headed and finish what they started, a rebellion.
